Beginning in 2022, the Plant Breeding Academy Outstanding Student Award is awarded to one student in each Plant Breeding Academy class, with Davis and Europe class Graduations alternating each year. The winner of the Outstanding Student Award is a dedicated PBA student, actively engaged with both students and professors, and eager to learn and lead his peers while offering to support however possible.
PBA & EPBA Instructors choose the winner in each class based on their performance throughout their entire program. Each winner receives a special Outstanding Student Award and also makes a speech during the Graduation ceremony.
